Curriculum Night!
Thursday, August 20, 2026, will be Oñate’s Annual Curriculum Night. At Oñate Elementary School, teachers give a presentation in their classroom at the grade-level designated time.
Curriculum Night Schedule
5:15 pm - 6:00 pm: Sandwiches will be served in the cafeteria, while supplies last.
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Pre K - 2nd Grade Presentations
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: 3rd - 5th Grade Presentations
Attendance Matters
Oñate Elementary School Tardy Policy
🟢 1–3 Tardies Teacher Support
•Friendly reminder from the teacher to the student and family about the importance of arriving on time.
•The teacher reminds the family, encouraging consistent punctuality.
🟡 4–6 Tardies School Partnership
•Teacher informs administration and/or the school attendance team of a recurring pattern.
•Administration or attendance team contacts the family to discuss possible barriers and collaboratively identify strategies to improve punctuality.
🟠 7–9 Tardies Targeted Support
•Administration or attendance team checks in with the family.
•Additional supports are identified, and progress is monitored to promote improved punctuality.
🔴 10+ Tardies or Continued Pattern Attendance Improvement Plan
•School team meets with the family.
•An individualized attendance improvement plan is developed to address barriers and identify supports for student success.

The 2026-2027 edition is now available online. Families and APS staff will now be able to recommend changes throughout the year.
